Creative Consultations

My path

As a child of immigrants growing up in the Midwest during the 1990’s, I didn’t have a lot of resources after I decided I wanted a career in the arts. While many of my friends had supportive parents, mine weren’t very thrilled about the prospect of a ‘starving artist’ lifestyle for their daughter. Since I excelled in other areas of academics, they have tried to persuade me to find an alternative career (even to this day!).

Throughout my journey, I’ve experienced a lot! I have:

  • headed the artistic recruiting team at Cartoon Network Studios

  • studied film (at USC) and illustration (at Art Center College of Design)

  • interned at DreamWorks Animation and the Walt Disney Company

  • co-founded Motivarti, a mentorship company

  • freelanced as a paper artist

  • created pop-up cards for manufacturing and invitations

  • signed with a literary agent

  • published children’s books

  • worked on toy packaging

  • tabled at conventions

  • exhibited in galleries

  • filed paper work to incorporate

  • became a mom

  • and more!
